I have made mention of these facts before on my blog posts, but wanted a central location that was easily accessible to anyone should they care to find the information.

Due to the nature of my freelance work, I am often connected with book-/publishing-related companies. The following are specifics in regards to some of those organizations I work with the most. Regardless of who I am doing contract work for, my blog is never a negotiating factor. The content of my blog is always what I choose to include and my work with these groups can not be dependent on this content or I will discontinue my relationship with the organization who demands otherwise.

xuni.com: A website design/maintenance company. There are many authors whose websites are handled by xuni that I worked with long before working with xuni. But who is featured on the blog is never a condition of my continued contract with this organization. I invite those authors I think will be of interest to my readership. If I include a xuni author in a feature or review one of their books, I include the label "xuni author" as a tag in the post. Also please note that I will not write any outside review of a xuni author's work for which I would receive some kind of compensation.

Criminal Element: A website created by Macmillan Publishing for the purpose of representing all crime fiction, regardless of publisher. No specific authors are directly represented by Criminal Element and therefore this is usually a non-issue. However, if there should be a need for me to disclose some connection with the Criminal Element website, I will do so with a "criminal element" label on the post.

TLC Book Tours: I do periodic work for Trish Collins of this online blog tour group. My work is confined to non-fiction book tours, and I do not participate in any tours that I research for. In addition my contract with them is not dependent on the content of any review I post as part of a tour and I am not required to participate in any tours. Participation is at my discretion only. These blog tours have always been identified in the review as TLC blog tours, but will now also include a "tlc book tours" label on the post.

In addition to these disclosures, the standing disclosure remains for the blog as a whole, I do not receive compensation--outside of a copy of the book--for reviews unless otherwise noted (i.e. freelance reviews appearing first for a publication may be reprinted here at a later date and are noted as such). Review copies are never accepted with any kind of expectation, other than an honest review, attached to them. Reviews that have resulted from receiving a copy of the book from publisher/author/publicist are labeled with a "review copy" tag.

The content of any blog post not indicated as a guest post is MY content. The ideas represent me alone and no organization with which I am associated.  I simply have a love of books. I enjoy talking about books with the readers here and have no desire to pull the wool over anyone's eyes.

I am presently participating in some affiliate programs. Purchases made through links on my site can result in a small percentage of compensation back to the blog. Presently affiliates include Amazon, Alibri and Downpour.
