Five on Friday - S.E. Green

Happy Friday all you good reading friends! I hope you had a stellar week. I was able to break out the shorts and flip flops this week, so color me happy. I may be able to read on the front porch tomorrow!

If you need a little warm and fuzzy this Friday, can I recommend this great article? It made me smile ear to ear reading it.

We're welcoming another new comer to the blog this Friday for Five on Friday, so let me do a contest round-up and then we'll get to introductions.

Criminal Element has the Four Knaves Sweepstakes this week. Hot group of books there, be sure to go enter that one! And on another note, the Tanya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan ordeal was 20 years ago? I feel old...

Friday Reads has two titles to give away this week: Fatal Impressions and Wolf. Go check that one out.

And Lesa's giveaway this week will have to be a surprise because she doesn't have it posted as I write this. But go take a gander; I'm sure it's great.

O.k. on to Five on Friday. S.E. Green has an award-winning Middle Grade spy series called The Specialists. This past week, however, she stuck her foot in the YA thriller waters with the release of her novel, Killer Instinct, which you will hear more about here soon. When she's not writing, she's teaching or off on an adventure...all in the name of research! And I predict she may be an over-achiever...she's given us a bonus answer...five on Friday plus one!

Please help me welcome, S.E. Green!

Crime and cupcakes!
1. The most bizarre question I was every asked in an interview was: “Do you write naked?” I was like, um… gross, no?
2. When I was a kid, my favorite thing to get in my trick-or-treat bag was Snickers! (The big ones, not those miniatures.)
3. The one food I absolutely will not eat is Liver. Ick. Ack. Ugh. Blah.
4. The most beautiful place I’ve ever visited is Hawaii, for sure. The swimming, the hiking, the beauty, the peacefulness… (Oh, and the pancakes—my God, were they huge!)
5. My favorite time of day is: I am a total morning gal. I get more done before 8am then a lot of people do before noon. Catch me at 3 p.m. though and you might as well plan on intravenously serving me coffee.

What's the #1 thing on my bucket list right now? Skydiving! (Though I know I’ll scream my lungs out and probably make my tandem buddy deaf.)
Is it any wonder she's winning awards for her middle grade books? I know you all at least smiled, if not laughed out loud. I'm super excited that Shannon could join us today and hope she'll be back again. I have to say, someone was pretty gutsy to ask if she wrote naked!

Have a great weekend. Be sure to do something nice for your Mom's on Sunday...maybe give her a new book? And as always, HAPPY READING!
