Hi all. So sorry for my radio silence last week. I've had an addition to my family. On the 11th I made a trip to Maryland to visit a very lovely couple (Kat and Doug) who needed to rehome their almost-2-year-old Labradoodle, Rufus Cadbury.
Rufus and Nestlé hit it off right away. Rufus was a wee bit unsure of me at first (isn't everyone?), but after some treats and playing and hanging out, he decided I wasn't so bad after all. And on Monday, Ru joined our family. So please forgive me for no posts last week, I was very busy playing puppy games and spending lots of cuddle time with my new little guy...and making sure Nestlé didn't feel left out. Forrest the cat has taken to Rufus quite well, the other felines...well, we're still working on them. :-) But Ru is an amazing little guy and I'm thankful to Kat and Doug for entrusting him to me.
So in addition to celebrating the belated anniversary of the blog, we're going to celebrate the arrival of Rufus this week. Each day I'll have a special giveaway, so be sure to check in and enter to win each day.
Before we get to today's giveaway, I want to quickly mention this year's Edgar® nominations. If you haven't seen the list yet, you can do that here. I have to say this may be the most excited I've been about the Edgars ever. There are quite a few titles I'm thrilled to see in the running, but as I mentioned on Facebook I'm over the moon that Marcus Sakey's BRILLIANCE is up for best paperback original. My favorite read of 2013 and I'm always delighted when books I enjoyed at the level I enjoyed--nix that, loved--BRILLIANCE get their deserved attention. So congratulations to all the 2014 nominees.
O.k. on to today's giveaway. I had originally planned today's to coincide with the author's birthday, which happened to be last week, but alas, the best laid plans and all that.
Anyway, I have signed trade paperbacks of Craig Johnson's THE COLD DISH and KINDNESS GOES UNPUNISHED for a lucky reader. To enter, just complete the form below by Sunday, January 26th. US or Canada mailing addresses only, please.
