Jenn, from Jenn's Bookshelves, is a blogging and real-life friend that I'm supremely thankful for. And this weekend she's hosting the Thankfully-Reading-rules-free weekend. It's just an encouragement to put aside all the busy-ness of our normal lives and enjoy some quality reading time. I'm going to be doing just that.
Last night I finished up DEAD MAN'S FANCY by Keith McCafferty so I could start the weekend fresh with a brand new book. I have both print and ebooks in my potential read stack for this weekend. I also have Jeffery Deaver's THE OCTOBER LIST geared up on my iPod so I can spend a little time crocheting this weekend as well.
Here's a look at the print books I'm considering for the weekend:
What do you think? My goal is to finish two--possibly three since a couple titles are middle grade books. So obviously I've got more than enough (not to mention the few on my ereader as well). That's always better than too little!
I'm going to do a little blog work, participate in--and host--some mini challenges for the weekend, and just all-around enjoy myself.
Please feel free to let me know how your reading is going this weekend. If you stop by, let me know in the comments what you're reading and how you're enjoying it.
You can check out what Jenn and other bloggers are doing by visiting Jenn's Bookshelves. And goodness gracious, by all means, join in. No pre-registration was required...jump in whenever you like.
I'm off now to start my first book, which is actually on my ereader. It's a book I've been wanting to read for awhile but has been neglected because of so many obligations. This weekend is for pure enjoyment! I'm starting with THE QUALITIES OF WOOD by Mary Vensel White.
I'll check back in later with an update, but until then, Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends. Happy Thursday to all my friends outside the U.S. And thank you to everyone. It's a joy sharing books with you.
